Incorporating P.E. classes in our homeschooling routine has been a game-changer. For years we have been incorporating and learning different skills. However, this November and for the next 7 weeks, we have put a fun twist to our weekly workout.
The weather does not quite know what to do. By this time in our schedule, we usually need more motivation until Christmas break.
Christmas Theme Workout
So, this week, we are starting with “The Nutcracker Workout”. We will add a new one every week for the next 7 weeks.
Check it out and downloaded it here.
I am far from being a trainer. I have been working out my whole life. I put this workout together to fit our family skill level. It is a lot of fun. Modify it as you need, we do.
In the morning it takes us about 30 minutes or so and we are having fun. Kids are in charge, they put their music on, and we exercise together.
Do you find it harder to motivate the kids for Homeschooling in November?
Do you want to get moving more with the kids?
Are you looking for ways to slowly get into the Holiday spirit, the fun way?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, take a look at what we are doing this week.
The Nutcracker Workout
This year I have decided to have “Fun classes” for the months of November and December to get us in the Holiday spirit by creating memories, learning while cooking, feeling good about ourselves.
Why creating different workouts? Because over the years I have found out that taking 30 to 45 minutes of P.E. has been extremely beneficial not only physically but academically.
The 5 main reasons why we are doing it day after day
1. Have fun together, creating memories
2. Improved Focus, helps memories (Academic performance)
3. Improved Health, make us feel strong (strength, flexibility)
4. Better Sleep Habits
5. Teamwork, Self-confidence, and self-disciplines
6. Develops motor skills
You’ll see, doing guided physical activities on a daily basis helps improve your academic performance, Establishes healthy lifetime habits and Strengthens your relationship with your family and others.
